Named after a 4th-century monk who supposedly lived in the cave below the castle, this fortress played a crucial role during Byzantine, Lusignan, and Venetian periods. The castle complex is divided into three sections: the lower, middle, and upper wards. The upper ward, accessible via a steep climb, rewards visitors with breathtaking 360-degree views of the northern coastline and as far as Turkey on clear days.
